Internet millionaires.

Internet nowadays is creating millionaires at the pace never seen in history. We had a little slow down at the turn of the century but the big deals are back. A few months ago Amazon bought another online retailer Zappos for $ 928 millions grand total. Nice ;)

If you visit TechCrounch website you will have a chance to learn a bit more about how the big money are made today. Fascinating stories, some of them stretch back into early days of semiconductor and advent of personal computing. Guys like Don Valentine from Sequoia Capital.

And there are other stories. Like a story of Neil Patel who learned about SEO and become highly paid consultant. He then went to create a few online companies like Crazy Egg or KISSmetrics recently. Or the story of Andrew Warner who created a mega list of subscribers to his online newsletters and then capitalized on them through advertising and lead generation.

These guys made a millions. And they are still young, some of them even in their early twenties. What else can they achieve. If we look at the stories of some early entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley we can see that they have enormous potential.

Some of them will become a billionaires.

John D. Rockefeller, my champion.

I love John D. Rockefeller, he is the best.
I often wonder what would JD do in this or that situation.

Here is the way of entrepreneur rise.
Rise from a simple bookkeeper, through commodity trader to ... the industrialist.
He managed to dominate huge sector of the economy.
How did he do it?
Was he better, smarter?
He simply was systematic, he was disciplined, determined.

I wonder what would he do nowadays in the era of the Internet?
Would he be blogging, setting up some websites, tying to make a little cash in the world of affiliate marketing?

I don't think so.
J.D. Rockefeller was the Big Thinker long before Donald Trump invented the phrase.
What would he do?
Would he own Google today?
If not, I'm sure he would find a way to dominate anyway.

It all starts with some little money, and time, and effort.
